
Aegis draws on a team
of more than 25 professionals that, in the aggregate have more
than half a millennium of professional years’ experience
in energy. Resumes of select members of the team are set forth
below.
Garfield L. Miller III
Mr. Miller is President and Chief Executive Officer of
Aegis Energy. Prior to forming Aegis Energy in 1994, Mr. Miller
was Managing Director and Co-Head of Salomon Brothers’
Energy & Chemicals Group, from 1991 to 1994, and Managing
Director and Head of First Boston’s Natural Resources
M&A Group, which he joined in 1985.
He has over 28 years experience in the energy industry advising
natural resource companies on all aspects of corporate finance,
and mergers and acquisitions including defense, divestitures,
and general strategic advisories. In addition, he initiated
and spearheaded the development of Salomon Brothers’ proprietary
energy commodity derivative financing product. His clients are
engaged in all facets of natural resources from oil and gas
extraction to refining and marketing of petroleum products.
Mr. Miller holds a BA in economics from Middlebury College and
a MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School

Schindler, Jr.
Mr. Schindler is a Vice President with Aegis Energy principally
responsible for activities related to Aegis Muse Associates
LLC downstream advisory joint venture. Prior to joining Aegis
Energy, he was a senior manager with Ernst & Young/Wright
Killen and its predecessor Wright Killen & Co. for eight
years. At Ernst & Young/Wright Killen, Mr. Schindler played
a lead role in many of the firm’s mergers and acquisitions,
divestitures, and valuation engagements for downstream clients
in the refining, marketing, logistics and petrochemical industries.
He joined Ernst & Young/Wright Killen in 1990 after beginning
his career at Arthur Andersen & Co.
Mr. Schindler brings over 15 years of experience to Aegis Energy.
He holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering with high honors
and an M.B.A. degree, both from the University of Texas. Mr.
Schindler is certified by the American Society of Appraisers
as an accredited senior appraiser (A.S.A.) in business valuations.
Rodney Triplett
Mr. Triplett is a Vice President with Aegis Energy focused
on providing analytical services related to energy acquisitions,
mergers, divestitures, and joint ventures. Before joining Aegis
Energy, he was with Ernst & Young/Wright Killen (formerly
Wright Killen & Co.) in their Strategy & Business Analysis
practice for three years. Mr. Triplett’s work focused
on analyzing of regional crude oil and refined product supply
and demand trends, forecasting, and competitive evaluation and
assessment of downstream energy companies. Prior to joining
the Ernst & Young/Wright Killen, Mr. Triplett worked for
Phillips Petroleum Co. as a refinery process engineer for three
years.
He holds a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Texas A&M
University and an M.B.A. degree from the University of Texas.
Mr. Triplett has 10 years of energy industry experience.
Mikhail Khrichtchatyi
Mr. Khrichtchatyi is an analyst with Aegis Energy focused on
providing analytical services related to the upstream and downstream
energy projects. Prior to joining Aegis Energy, he was with
Khanty Mansiysk Oil Corporation (KMOC) -- an international E&P
company focused on West Siberia -- where he spent one year as
an analyst. While at KMOC, Mr. Khrichtchatyi’s work focused
on pre-IPO valuation models, market analysis, financial reviews,
and the assessment of comparable E&Ps.
Mr. Khrichtchatyi holds a B.A. degree in economics from Wabash
